Aint life grand

Talk about a change of life since my last post.  I've been through the lowest of lows and now I'm up again.   I had to put my dog Stuart down last March and when I buried him I seemed to have buried my drive & zeal to own a squirrel dog.   I've got my drive back and I'm itching for the season to come in to try out this new treeing cur pup I got from Dean Wright. 

Weekend Hunt

Ethan and I made a short round Saturday and got these 5 but let one get away.  Made 8  trees in total for a 2 1/2 hour hunt.

The  next pics are from our Sunday hunt with Ron Anderson aka Mag Shooter.  The wind was howling and swirling but these young dogs got it done.  Sox (cur) made her 1st tree by scent and Ron was excited to say the least.  We made 5 trees in all and saw 4 sq. but only got 2 in the game bag

2012 Ohio Hunt

Lone Oak's Stuart

Stuart has about as much heart as any dog I know.  He's a pleasure to follow through the woods.

Pic from a coon hunt a week or so ago.  Ellie treed twice but with all the leaves and vines we couldn't see anything.  Not the best pic.
